Was tempted to go see him in Sheffield tomorrow, but an early start on
Monday etc etc, and suffering somewhat from gareth james's complete lack of
knowledge of the portfolio, I demured.
Compilations are always a complete turn off for me, so rob rowles's
advice
will be considered.

Meanwhile, Bert Jansch at the Roundhouse last night anyone ?

  Sublime, basically.

  Gordon

PS John Martyn plays Roundhouse next month, and RT headlines Friday
night
at Cropredy this year, but more topically, what news of BA tour etc ?

  hallo all
Sometimes it's darn hard to get into an artist after they've done so many
albums. I wouldn't have started with that album!

best albums, but we'll never convert you now anyway, for me are
"respect",
"i often dream of trains", "gotta let this hen out", but he has so many
songs
recorded that there aren't many truly cohesive RH albums. probably why i
  chose the above.

"liking Hitchcock... hardest game in the world, been a fan for twenty
years,
  man & boy..."

Top night, but not as good musically as the one from 2yr ago which turned
into a Soft Boys gig & had me grinning for days after - the cover of
Stayin'
Alive from that night was to be treasured!!
Always a pleasure to hear Somewhere Apart & Queen of Eyes.
Was weird to see Mr Buck on a tiny stage, tho I do wish I'd gone to the
Oxford
gig to see Stipey turn up. Robyn & PB breezed past me & me mate at the
start
  - I'm chatting away & then nonchalantly said to my mate, "and there's
peter
  buck.." LOL.
Did we see Gerard & Patrick Duff there too?
  god i'm so showbiz. lol

  laters...
