I've given it one listen so far and I rather enjoyed it. Its not the whole poem, just large excerpts. The full version of each part performed is printed in the wee book that comes with it, but that doesn't mean that Gerard actually performs the whole thing on the CD. There are also a couple of points where the words that Gerard is saying aren't listed in the book (or at least not in the right place anyway!)

The music is excellent throughout and pretty much suits the mood most of the way through, although Gerard's vocals are a bit fast and unintelligible in a few parts.

Wow - just catching up with the list since being away for Xmas (and, sadly, the gigs) so only finding out about LIT3 now. I'm even sorrier about missing the gig now, Autumn Journal is the classic example of my having been introduced to a poem I now love by the 'Planes through the previous partial adaptations. Soooo:

  * For those who got a copy, what's it like?
  * Is it the whole poem? (Hmmm, tries to think about the feasibility)
  * Are copies still available?

Happy New Year all!

Greetings, everyone,

Just to let you know that LIT3 - AUTUMN JOURNAL will be on sale at both the Bristol and London gigs.

I personally think this is the best yet; Louis Macneice's epic poem brought to life with exquisite accompaniment from Ian Keary, Angelo and saxophonist Clare Hirst.

Comes with a 40 page booklet reproducing the pages of the original edition of the book and is again strictly limited to 50 copies.

Regards,
Sam
