  Totally concur with the comment about 'Showing Off To Impress the Girls'.
  First came across it on the 'Weird Shit' cassette, a live version from 
before the birth of humanity.
  Subsequently spent more than one should aquiring the vinyl 45. Not sure 
if that's the version on 'Bagpipe Music', but for me, bears out Gerards 
apparent taste for warts an' all recordings, 'cause I don't think the 
studio version holds a candle to it.

  Gonna put it on, right now.

    Bagpipe Music is also the title of the Art Objects (previous 
incarnation of the BAs) great album from 1980, I think....has the awesome 
'Showing Off to Impress the Girls' and is as good as anything GL & Co have 
done since...
