abi-- get beatsongs and friendloverplane-- but, for me anyway, the 'planes high water mark is swagger. then band from that era included angelo bruschinei (massive attack) alex lee (suede, strangelove) john langley (wittness, strangelove). amazing group. pat fish (he of the jazz butcher) was floating around then, too, as was gil norton (pixies producer and others). it was a good time. when i get a scanner soon, i'll post some pics of that era (i have some fleece and firkin x-mas gig shots (soundcheck), some mean fiddler shots (mostly backstage) and USA shots (9:30 club)...

Hello there,
This is just me introducing myself to you guys. I'm a Uni student (female+Physics narrows it down somewhat). I have just recently become utterly and completely lost in the world of the Blue Aeroplanes and I don't want to be rescued. After much searching on the net, I found this groovy little space and thought I'd join up. Hope thats OK :) I'm a little young to have been around when the Planes started up, but I would like to make up for lost time by finding out all I can and listening to this amazing music as often as I can. Well, there it is, my intorduction and 'Hi'. I'd love to write to Gerard Langley and the band, could someone help me in locating an address?
  Cheers!
  Abi

Your induction to we merry bunch of journeymen (+women) planes fans will
be to attend the annual Christmas gig in Bristol...which for many years
(until the release of Altitude this year and the subsequent tour) was
all we ever saw of them live......If you want a good quick introduction
to the big label album years try - Huh! The Best of the Blue Aeroplanes.
Also there's a pirated DVD of them live in Germany in the early 90s you
should search out.....then expand from there.....

Phil (for some reason lots of Areos fans are called Phil)!!

Hi there, I recently sent a post followed by my computer crashing and my password no longer being accepted eeeek! Oh well, here I am trying again with a different email address, which hopefully will work :) My post might still be there though I shall put it here again, just in case: 'Hello there, This is just me introducing myself to you guys. I did indeed, thanks for that, glad to be a part of it all. I realise my email made it sound like I was lost in the world of BA in a bad way...what I meant was I'm lost in a cool way! There is so little out there about them that I'm glad I have stumbled upon you guys. My current collection of Blue Planes is Swagger, Bop Art, Tolerance and Altitude and I'm working on the rest.
  Cheers,
  Abi

What's up with this, anyway? Did Nora let it expire? Did the record
company shake its big fist (and panel of lawyers) at her? Is she still
around?

Nora? Are you here?? Does anyone know what happened to her, or to that
domain?

Happy weekend all, by the way. :)
