This is off-topic (sorry Steve and everyone else..) but not half so far off
topic as the brecon beacons.
My band Revere has a new tune available to download today - called 'Skin' -
at: www.indiestore.com/revere
We've set ourselves a target of 500 copies to sell, which isn't much, but we
think/hope would get us into the top 150 of the download charts and maybe
(please god) generate a tiny bit of industry interest. This might prove to
be a tad naive, especially as we are competing with any number of unofficial
england football songs, but we'll see...
If any list stalwarts (or johnny come latelies, can't be too choosy) can
spare 79p and five mins I'd be really grateful, and if anyone has any
feedback on it (constructive or otherwise) I'd love to hear it off-list.

The Monmouth to Brecon canal runs through the Brecon Beacons national park.

Even more importantly, what use is a narrow boat on the Brecon Beacons?
Is this similar to mountaineering along the Kennet and Avon canal,
abseiling down the lock gates?

Somebody asked to let them know when Saturation Point (the band that
featured John Langley, Julian Poole and Joe Allen and supported the
Planes on at the Swagger gig and on the recent tour) were playing again.
Well, I've just found out that its this Saturday, 17th June, at the
Espionage club night at the Thekla in Bristol. A bit late notice for
those of you not from around these parts I realise, but I only saw the
poster myself in the Bristol Ticket Shop nary an hour ago. For those
who have never been, Espionage is a great club night. Doors are around
9.30/10.00 I think, the band gets on around 10.30 and plays its set -
maybe an hour - then its a great club night afterwards.
Not sure if I'm going to go yet, but will try and make it down.
