The sound was rather shocking indeed.

poor Julian p-p had his back to the crowd to play near
a mic, but Max seemed to play more than he did in
B'ham.
Set list as before.
They didn't play yr own world or  ...and stones in
b'ham so it was good to hear them here (instead of
dectective song), esp the former which was a cracking
version.

All on all a good time, band tighter than last week,
crowd quieter though.
Shame about my speeding ticket on the way home!

It seems that to seem them these days with a proper
crowd you need to go either to London or Bristol,
rather than these sparse provincial events.
