Wait.. does this mean that if I drive to Texas, I can see them? I'd
probably have to be a registered attendee, though, eh?

Blue Aeroplanes are on the list.
A vast site, and very typically BIG job.
The performers voted by a panel, commitee, on 7th Feb.
Anyone know if the guys made the cut ?

Subject: [Blueplanes] Tour, Website & Sampler...

Hi gang!
I sent two emails out to the list yesterday, but I haven't had 'em in
my inbox so I don't know if any of you have either...? (Maybe it's
just that none of you are speaking to me..?!) ;)

Firstly, CONFIRMED (probably in stone or blood or something!) dates
and venues for the tour are:
Sun 26 Mar Portsmouth - Wedgewood Rooms (023 9286 3911)
Mon 27 Mar Brighton - Hanbury Ballrooms (01273 325 440)
Tue 28 Mar Norwich - Waterfront (01603 508 050)
Wed 29 Mar Colchester - Arts Centre (01206 500 900)
Thu 30 Mar Birmingham - Academy (0870 771 2000)
Sat 1 Apr Exeter - Phoenix (01392 667 080)
Sun 2 Apr Dublin - Crawdaddy (0818 719300)
Tue 4 Apr Liverpool - Academy (0870 771 2000)
Wed 5 Apr Nottingham - Rescue Rooms (0115 958 8484)
Thu 6 Apr London - Mean Fiddler (0870 060 3777)
Sat 8 Apr Leicester - The Charlotte (0115 912 9000)
Sun 9 Apr Glasgow - King Tuts (0870 169 0100)
Mon 10 Apr Leeds - New Roscoe (0113 246 0778)
Tue 11 Apr Sheffield - Boardwalk (0870 145 1207)
Wed 12 Apr Manchester - Academy (0161 832 1111)

Nothing in Europe/USA (or Oz!) yet, but I do know that there are
definite talks going on regarding a possible New York gig. As I said
before, the USA thing will be around the time of SbySW, so hang in
there fellas!

Harvest (EMI) are releasing a low price sampler CD and digital
download featuring old and new material from the label on Feb 13
(next Monday). It will include an alternate mix of Bright Star
Catalogue that was done by Angelo Bruschini and will not appear
anywhere else. Also because this is upfront of the album it acts as a
little taster. The full track-listing is below.

IT WASN'T MY IDEA TO DANCE - A HARVEST SAMPLER
1/ The Amorphous Androgynous - The Emptiness Of Nothingness
2/ Edgar Broughton Band - There's No Vibrations, But Wait!
3/ Kevin Ayers - Stranger In Blue Suede Shoes
4/ Syd Barrett - Baby Lemonade
5/ Pete Brown & Piblokt - Golden Country Kingdom
6/ The Blue Aeroplanes - Bright Star Catalogue (alternate mix)
7/ The Move - It Wasn't My Idea To Dance
8/ Barclay James Harvest - Child Of Man
9/ Patrick Duff - Mother Nature's Refugee
10/Electric Light Orchestra - Mr Radio (Single Version)

Finally, EMI are getting ready to make a Swagger-release (mostly)
related website go live. It will be accessible either via the EMI
website or have its own address and will concentrate more on what is
happening now(ish). There are plans for a much more cohesive website
(featuring the entire history, biog, etc. of the band) to be made
available at a later date, but for now EMI are running the show and
want to concentrate on Swagger and 2006. No address for it yet, but
as you know, I'm kinda involved with it so as soon as I know anything
I will, of course, let you all know. All ideas etc. that you guys
posted to me ages ago have/will be submitted to see if they are
viable for inclusion, so keep 'em coming...! If they're not, then
they will go onto the more intimate website... Hope that made sense!

You guys never knew I knew such long words didjya! I'm' not just a
drunken face y'know!
Love,
Lis
