London and Glasgow

I can only echo what people have said about the Borderline gig. Apart
from two guitars somehow going out of tune at the same time on Anti-Pretty
(I think), it sounded great, and just got better as they all got into it.
Good to see that Max has been given time to relearn the songs this time!
I do like his laid back guitar style. The tour should be a lot of fun as
they play together more.
One thing though, Gerard said they'd never played Your Ages live before,
but I don't think that's right. I'm sure they've played it a couple of
times at Fiddlers in recent years.
Speaking of the tour, I see there's a gig at King Tut's in Glasgow. It's
the best venue in the country in my opinion, and tiny, so time for a visit
to my mate in Scotchland I think.
Nice to catch up with Phil and Steve again, and to meet Lisa albeit
briefly. Sorry I missed the rest of you: my friend had a bag and coat and
there seemed to be no cloakroom, so we lurked at the stage end of the bar
and didn't mingle much. I'll make more effort at the Mean Fiddler in
April.
