I have two, sorry, three theories about this.

The hardcore of gigers that take a punt on ANYTHING around these venues
got a breeze that this was something a bit special, which it is, and
punted large.

The EMI/Music Industry tossers are turning out in force in case they
miss something again.

There are just enough people in London who remember them, read the Times
and the Guardian, and thought.....why not ?

The former might be a good thing, the latter encouraging and
understandable, the medial an absolute fekking outrage.

Oh ! Sorry, there is a fourth.

The Band members have family as well.
  It's a small venue.

We could always pounce on said Music Industry people, offer them a one
way ticket to palookaville in exchange, and redistribute the largesse to
the needy, but I fear it may be too late.

There is only ONE Robyn H !

  NO! I meant RobIn H.

Oh no ! I think I'm coming down with something.

  Good night, Good mornig

(Ironically, this person's also selling Robyn Hitchcock tickets... now
THAT I can understand!)

Price at the minute is only 9.99. My thoughts are, just bid for the
damn things when there's only about 2 minutes to go (so that no-one pushes
the price up too high) and whoever wins shares the tickets with the second
highest bidder (assuming that the only people who're gonna be bidding are
on this list anyway? But then, are we not learning that it doesn't do to
'assume' anything lately!).

Its a point tho, who the hell DID buy up all the tickets if not us?!
(Hmmm... my answer is in the link above methinks! Well, that and probably
a good proportion of industry bods who'll get in free anyway. Hummmmph
indeed!)

I'll do me best to fight in the corner of everyone who wants to go who
didnt get tickets, I really will, I promise - but I can't take the pi$$ so
if nothing comes of it, dont get too disheartened. Will report back as
soon as I hear anything. I have a feeling that there will be touts (scurge
of the gigging classes!) outside at this rate, so maybe that's an option
too?

Who'da thunnk that it would come to this?! It's bloody ridiculous this
is! I'd like to have seen all those not on here, who have never bothered
with the BA's until its on their doorstep, go to the trouble of getting to
The Fiddlers a couple of years ago! Would they have? Course they bleedin'
wouldn't! It's an outrage I tell ya! I'm a bit cross. Who does EMI think
are gonna be buying the CDs?! I'm really trying hard not to be elitist,
but 'we' have been singing the BA's praises on here for years - that kinda
bodes for getting some kind of special treatment when it comes to a sudden
interest in the band in my opinion. I'm not having people on this list not
being able to get in to see them. I'm not. It's a f***in' liberty!

    Words will be had. Grrr!

So, what's the 'etiquette' on this?
I'm VERY keen to go (especially as I just finally made the decision to
make the 200 mile round trip required on a school night...), but would
step aside for someone who's already made the decision to come from
further afield, or for someone who has done more for the furtherment of
the Aeroplanes' cause (Hendry, Vallis, etc if Lisa can't do anything for
you...). I am but one solitary individual when it comes to Aeroplanes
gigs, so I'd happily team up to make a bid. Having said all this, my
disposable funds are far from limitless, and so I probably won't end up
getting the damn tickets anyway. I just don't want to force the price up
for a more deserving soul. If nobody posts otherwise, I'll put in my best
price tomorrow evening.

I think I prefered it when nobody but us gave a toss about them.

    Hmph!
