Ah well y'see, there's an exact science to the
perfect bacon sandwich,
much debated and argued, depending on, I think,
which particular area
of the country you are from...
Studies show that the in North, bacon sandwich
lovers prefer their
sarnie's 'doorstep' fashion, using white bread and
brown sauce, slicing
the sandwich side to side, forming two rectangular
halves. However, in
the South there is a tendancy to use sliced brown or
even a 'Best Of
Both' version of bread (sometimes even toasted!) and
incorporating
ketchup into the mix, halving it diagonally, forming
two triangles.
Being half Geordie and half Londoner, this does
create all sorts of
problems for me and can be quite a quandary at
breakfast-time...
And so, in conclusion to your question Bruce....I
would have to say,
BROWN SAUCE & WHITE BREAD! Only Southern poofters
use ketchup!
