Re: Fiddlers' Gig

Add one more Phill to the list, I hope, although my gorgeous offspring has been turning on the vomit whenever I`m in line for an evening out lately, so I won`t be certain until my feet actually enter the Fiddlers. Might be nice to meet some people at the venue before the gig starts, as last year I spent a couple of hours standing around looking sad, and only plucked up courage to speak to someone after the gig, when that nice Mr Vallis gave me a lift... I`ll be on my own, as usual, as I`ve failed thoroughly in my numerous attempts to convert friends and family to the joys of the Aeroplanes. Hope it`ll be as great as last year`s (more Angelo!), but that the suport`ll be better (not impressed by the dodgy folky couple last year - apologies to anyone on the list whose friendsloversparents they may be).

Well, by my reckoning that's:
PV2 +1 (which looks more like an equation that needs solving)
Nick W (the other one)
A brace of Phils and friends
Nev
Mark +1
Lisa
Me
Any more for any more?

I presume that the ticket query is for the Bristol Ticket Shop mentioned on the poster. This is in the Arcade in the Broadmead pedestrianised shopping area in the centre of Bristol. Probably easier to look it up on a map than to provide directions. You can also order from their website www.bristolticketshop.co.uk . The other option given on the poster is Disc'n'Tape, which is on the main Gloucester Road, so if you're coming in from the north then that might be an option. Can provide better directions to both on request!

I wasn't sure whether to read the poster as The Aeroplanes would feature Gerard Starkie et al or whether the gig would. Presume they are support acts.

Mark's situation takes me back to the 80's when I took a young lady who was, rather briefly as it turned out, my girlfriend, to a gig. Her only previous gig had been with her mum to see Shakin' Stevens, so I decided to broaden her musical education a bit and took her to see Hawkwind. Her jaw spent most of the gig somewhere around her knees and she actually ducked when the lasers kicked in.

Happy days.

I hope to be there too.
Might have to bring the girlfriend. She has only ever seen Westlife live. Wonder what she will make of Gerard & co!

All being well I shall be there. I too am hoping to bring a chum.

I should like to know where this 'ticket' place is. Will I be able,
for example, to buy tickets at 5 pm on Tuesday when I am next in
Bristol?

I should be grateful for this knowledge.

I shall be wearing a hat.
