Top 5 Fantasy Festival line-up
- Subject: Top 5 Fantasy Festival line-up

Blue Aeroplanes (Beatsongs tour line-up)
supported (as if to show I don't really belong
here....) by:
Adam Ant (don't laugh - he's still the best live act
I've seen, and the early post-punk songs are terrific;
(reportedly Gerard wanted to record Goody Two Shoes,
perhaps ironically, for the NME Ruby Trax album but
was vetoed by the rest of the band); sadly now bonkers
which leads us on to....)
Julian Cope (compelling, and even better when he plays
the right songs)
Stephen Duffy and the Lilac Time (surprisingly now
writing with Robbie Williams and making all the money
he should have made from his own records)
The Polyphonic Spree (they only make sense when you
seem them live)
Oh, finished already. Can't I have a top 10? I could
then include James Blunt, Tindersticks, Magnetic
Fields, Belle & Sebastian, Dexy's Midnight Runners
and... Damn. Can I have a top 20?
