Re: I'm half cut, sorry if this offends

Someone has either been (a) deeply offended, or (b) stirred into action, as I've just tried to have a look at the site and it isn't there!

John Wygens has a couple of co-writing credits with Gerard on Rough Music - will have to reacquaint myself with the tracks concerned before passing comment.  I think he's cropped up on a couple of other albums as well.

Some dates for your diary of you follow Hazel Winter - 12th September at The Folk House, a gig at Bristol's Gay Pride event at Ashton Court in September (lost the date - sorry) and 23rd September at Il Bordello.  At the latter gig Hazel will evidently be playing by another ex-plane Ruth Cochrane, who I'm sure you don't need to be told played on Tolerance and Spitting Out Miracles.  Could be a very special evening......

PS:  Has anyone else come across a Bristol band called the Playwrights on Sink & Stove records?  Mediocre but brief live review in Venue this week, saying that they lacked stage presence.  He obviously couldn't fault the music cos I was there too and it was ace.  Worth checking out.  Kind of an English Talking Heads sound, with a cornet cropping up unexpectedly here and there.  Album is Good Beneath The Radar and singles The National Missing Person and Television In Other Cities.

You really shouldn't mail this list when half cut. Stony, stinking pissed is much better. This is what we need - inflammatory rhetoric!
The web site wasn't crap, but it's been long neglected and needs an overhaul. Ann Sheldon says something must be done! Any web designers out there?
'Record Player' is a bit thin but what do you think of the music? Worth it for 'Art Star' alone, surely?
Who the hell is Jon Wygens, in relation to me getting out of bed? What's he contributed? I'm not being sarcastic, I really don't know. As for Angelo, he's still around, and hooked up with Gerard for sessions on the forthcoming Aeroplanes album. Some mean solos going on, apparently.
I tried to watch Big Brother once, but fell into a coma. Mind you, you're drinking, so that might make it manageable.

My view is that the blue aeroplanes web site is crap.
The production on 'record player' is shite, which is understandable if it's no budget, but"Q' said it was a 'lo-fi' job. Surely it wasn't deliberate!!
To get back to former glories, Jon Wygens guitar extrodinaire is needed, top rate guitarist/est/and song maker. Unfortunately for us Alex Lee and Angelo bruschini are gone.
I expect I'm on my own here, just call me 'Lisa'-if you watch big brother.
Best
Tom.
