Nathaniel.....
I'm still up for hosting a Planes appreciation night in London...I have a
seriously good and loud stereo system (Technics)...perhaps when we've come
up with the definitive 12 I could base a night around that...I have a
bigish
garden so maybe a bar-b-que.....if anyone's up for it let me know....I
already know a couple of you from gigs but it would be good to meet the
rest...after all we share the best band in the history of music - so we
must
a be pretty interesting and astute human beings.....!

OK
Steve Burt - UPS - is this the aeroplanes' homage to the well-known parcel
delivery service ('consider it done') or could it be that you are just
after
'Ups'..... ;-)
Bad moon rising is also included on the 'Scared' limited single with a
couple of remixes & a lovely acoustic version of broken & mended. I think
this is probably quite rare but worth having.
those of you who picked 'mercury' - shame on you!! and 'fragile'???! I once
read a review of this one describing it as the b*st*rd offspring of WH
Auden
and Whitney Houston...
Phil mason - record player probably wouldn't dent your top 12. Art Star is
OK but the whole thing would be a lot better if had any production to speak
of. I am a fan, by the way....!!
Phil Hendry - what happened to your aeroplanes appreciation night in
london?? And whatever happened to PV2(or PV1??)
anyway for better or for worse here's mine:
1. Jacket Hangs
2. Pony Boy
3. Cowardice...
4. Ups
5. Spitting out miracles
6. Action Painting
7. What do you mean (what I said)
8. Jack leaves/Back Spring
9. Autumn Journal XV
10. Bury your love like treasure
11. Saint me & the devil
12. Breaking in my heart
+ secret bonus track.... For Tim Collins - exquisite

12 songs as you say is extremely difficult but here's my choice. I appear
to
be in the minority in liking the Life Model album.
1. Jacket Hangs
2. Weightless
3. ..... And Stones
4. Your Ages
5. Anti-Pretty
6. Cardboard Box
7. Colour Me
8. Broken & Mended
9. Daughter Movie
10. Mercury (Hold/Protect/Love)
11. Fragile
12. A Map Below

Am I the only one that would include Journal of an Airman?? Picking only 12
songs would be horribly difficult, but that would definately be one of
them.
