You will doubtless remember our appeal to buy the rights to Swagger for 
Gerard.  Well, having kept my mouth shut for a week or so, support for the 
appeal has now dried up.  The total pledged now stands at £550.  Bearing 
in mind that if you throw a party some of your invites don't turn up, I 
fear we have failed.

It was a brave attempt, and we showed great support and solidarity, but 
really we don't have enough to trouble Gerard with.  Sorry, folks.

The important thing is, we tried.  Next time we may succeed!
