Top ideas in general, but I`m not sure about the publicity aspect - if this is, as it seems, a knock down price, then maybe the record company might get cold feet and back out of an unsigned agreement if they feel they might run the risk of setting a precedent. I`ve no idea if this is true or not. In fact I`m talking about things I have absolutely no knowledge or experience of. So maybe I should just shut up.

I`m going for a little lie down.

But before I do - did we ever establish if anyone taped the gig? That missed `opportunity` to hear Your Ages live is haunting me...

Hello
I am not quite sure of exactly what sort of thing is going on here, if you
know what I mean. About this £1000 for Swagger.
I have read the posts, and in general I think "count me in on anything
towards getting Gerard's Swagger back".
All the suggestions seem quite feasible. I like the idea of a get together,
whether its to raise money or just for fun.
A few of us have raised some practical points, which I think we need to
consider to some sort of conclusion, and out of this may be born a workable
plan.

Now, if Nick thinks that Gerard appeared diffident, I think that should be
taken into account. After all he was there with Gerard.
Also, if as David says, the price is usually £1000/track, then we really
ought to make sure that we have this right. It good be a misunderstanding,
and we could find ourselves over £10,000 short after raising £1000. Gerard
may have been simplifying for conversations sake, or anything.
Surely we need to get Gerard involved with this.
Stacey says that knowing Gerard, she doesn't know how he would react to this,
so we really need to gauge this. Also, I agree with Stacey that this is for
us as much as it is for Gerard, and I think he would go along with that.
From Gerard's point of view, there could be some good promotional mileage in
this thing a-happening around Swagger. Hey, we might even get our names in
tiny print in a block of text on the album sleeve, seriously. You could say that the act of doing this may be worth much more to Gerard (and us) than the
£1000 we would raise. This is the sort of thing that Q magazine would jump
at.
So,
Can anyone put the ideas mentioned since the gig to Gerard?
Can we ascertain the amount required?
Will there be addtional costs (legal perhaps) that need to be considered?

Then we will need a way of coordinating the responses and converting them to
decisions. We don't want it to turn into

Pick a card,....any card,..............
WRONG!

Rory.

Edges and Change is all there is.......
and edges can't be found.
