I got the Witness album of, when was it, last year? Two years ago?
'Before The Calm'. Didn't like it much.... and didn't know that John
Langley was involved, although since there was no personnel listing on
the album that's hardly surprising really. For some reason I also have
their 'limited and highly collectable' (?!) 'quarantine'/'heirloom' cd
single that they gave out on a Charlatans tour. I didn't see the
Charlatans, so I'm thinking maybe I was sent it as a promo or something.
My mind is a blank.

A Witness on the other hand as someone has already said were around in
the mid '80s and as far as I recall were rather fine. Didn't they have a
song called 'nodding dog moustache'? Or not...

Finally Richard Bell... I have a CD that I picked up in the Tate Modern
of all places, that is called 'I Want To Hang Out With Ed Ruscha' and is
by David Stephenson and Richard Bell. It was released in a 500 limited
edition and signed by the (American) artist. I am fairly sure it is the
same Richard Bell from the Blue Aeroplanes... anyone else know anything
about it?

Keep the faith,

alistair

Hi:

Does anyone have an opinion about Witness, the band John Langley is
currently playing in? Their LP's had good reviews in the NME and Mojo,
the
former singling out Julian Pransky-Poole for special praise ...

Wasn't there another band called A Witness a while back?

Jonathan
