I was a college radio dj as well, John.
And unfortunately there were only a few of us who kept
the Planes alive after Swagger faded from memory.
Oh well....

There are sooo many bands I really love from old punk
to old jazz to swing to pop, all over the place
really.
Some favourites include:
Robyn Hitchcock
the Church
John Wesley Harding
Billy Bragg
the Clash
The Jam
Dead Can Dance
Billie Holiday

but it is best to ask me if I like a band rather than
ask me to list the ones I do like...
