A New Day

  • Subject: A New Day

I guess most of you lot are using email throughout the day because I come
home from work and there's a whole conversation to read through. I feel
like I'm on a time delay.

The sexuality question made me laugh because of a strange coincidence.
I'm straight, but I was intending this weekend to make a compilation CD
for my gay friend to take with him when he flies to Washington next
Thursday. I have a feeling he won't like the Aeroplanes, for some reason.
They had always seemed very "straight", somehow, so it's interesting to
see how wrong I was! Any unusual suggestions for tracks to include,
anyone?

As for bands, I do love the old prog rock stuff - Crimson, Tull,
Marillion, Genesis and even a bit of Floyd. (Stand by your guns, Tim -
Crimson kick ass. I read recently that Red was Kurt Cobain's favourite
album)The night before the Aeros gig I went to see Ozric Tentacles. But
then looking at my current pile of CDs that need filing, we have Pavement,
Cud, Cocteau Twins, Levitation, The God Machine, The The, Ned's and Roxy
Music. Plus I love Krautrock. Now does that make any sense?

Boutros, Boutros Gali.
