Well... it's time for me to issue the standard disclaimer regarding
music slams.  It's not the guy, it's the groove.  You can groove to it,
it's good.

There are lots of guys out there I'm "supposed" to like (Paul
McCartney, Elvis Costello, Dan Bern, Eric Clapton, Perl Jam, Nirvana,
The Smiths, etc.) that I simply don't care about because they do
nothing for me.  I appreciate the fact that they're out there, making
music, and that there's a technical skill... but I don't care.

Then there's that funny old grey area of crossover.  I don't really
like The Who very much, overall.  But I think Pete Townshend is
amazing.

On an unrelated topic, and I have to agree with Aaron-- could we all
please take the time to snip out the extra text from our replies?  Not
all of us use our employer's high-speed internet access to get our
e-mail.  Some of those 14k messages take a long time to download for
just two lines of reply text.  Sorta rude.
