I seem to remember somebody asking about the lyrics to Yr Ages.  I don't
have them in front of me so I'm doing this from memory.

I think that there is a war involved:

"I've had you in mind too many times to join up"

I also think that the ozone layer has been destroyed:

"In ten years everything will bleach to primer, and we'll lie in the
light - grass bank ghosts"
"The sun's bright enough for second site"
"The sky pours into everyone's head, you can't drink enough to hold it
off"
"A glimpse of something white"

Although, I suppose it could be indicative of a nuclear explosion.

I think that the line "History, what's that in time" refers to the
impact of a war upon the writers of history.

But, hey, what do I know?
