Well I'll be damned

I must have walked down Park Street a thousand times and never noticed the
entrance to the Folk House. It's actually an adult education and arts
centre, rather than a venue as such. Speaking to a chap there, it appears
that the Aeros have hired the place out as a private booking, and are
selling tickets on the door. Unofficially, they will take your money in
advance and give you a receipt for it, but they're not really doing
advance bookings. The place itself is about a third of the way up Park
Street on the right hand side, if you're heading uphill from the city
centre. Look for an optician called Eye Trend. Next to it is a narrow
corridor leading to a courtyard and building right behind the rank of
shops. On the ground floor is a small cafe bar (licenced), and in the
basement is a hall which looks for all the world like a primary school
hall! It has a small stage and a capacity of about 200, say the venue.
Should be fun.
