Personally I think you'd be well advised to risk coming over. As of last
week here in Liverpool, Probe records, a ticket selling agency had only
sold
three tickets for the 20th January gig.
I expect more will turn up on the night, but a few years ago there were
less
than a hundred in attendance and there have been no records since then. A
friend of mine actually thought they'd split up.
It's a pity that so many people are missing out on what should be a
fantastic evening.
It must be time to spread the secret that we are all sharing.

Well, thanks for your field-work. It must be a strange location for a rock
concert this Folk House, bringing you back to the old school days
(memories
of this awful musical we had to perform as a final goodbye to those
primary
school days are coming up again). Should be a fun "venue", though.
But I doubt whether it makes any sense coming over from Amsterdam if no
advance tickets are being sold. Maybe I should run this risk. At least, I
had a great time when I visited Bristol in February last year.
Cheers,

Onderwerp: Well I'll be damned
I must have walked down Park Street a thousand times and never noticed the
entrance to the Folk House. It's actually an adult education and arts
centre, rather than a venue as such. Speaking to a chap there, it appears
that the Aeros have hired the place out as a private booking, and are
selling tickets on the door. Unofficially, they will take your money in
advance and give you a receipt for it, but they're not really doing
advance
bookings. The place itself is about a third of the way up Park Street on
the right hand side, if you're heading uphill from the city centre. Look
for an optician called Eye Trend. Next to it is a narrow corridor leading
to a courtyard and building right behind the rank of shops. On the ground
floor is a small cafe bar (licenced), and in the basement is a hall which
looks for all the world like a primary school hall! It has a small stage
and a capacity of about 200, say the venue. Should be fun.
