Gil Norton seems to be getting a bit of stick for this business -
is
this list a stronghold of support for Rodney? If so, I'll be disappointed
(and, who knows, maybe pilloried).

As far as I'm concerned, a track where you can't hear Rodney's
contribution is the best Blue Aeroplanes track of all. If Gil had mixed
Careful Boy down to three minutes of silence, it would have improved
Swagger
by about 200%. When I hear those whiny vocals and those sub-C86 indie pop
sha la la choruses I feel quite ill, I really do. Give me Nick Jacobs
anytime. I don't care if Rod the Plod is better looking.

        cheers!
        michael,
