Airoplanes and The Church

Hi - my name is Trevor Boyd and I do a fanzine called NSEW for another
great guitar band called The Church. The Airplanes supported The Church
in the early 90's on a US Tour - anyone see that tour? - wish I had.
For me, these two bands are the greatest guitar bands on earth. I remember
first seeing the 'Planes in Milton Keynes on the Swagger tour and I
remember not knowing whether to laugh or what - they just mesmerised me.
All standing at the front of the stage at the beginning until the music
reached a certain point and then....choas...everyone just weaving in and
out of each other...Gerard pushing people out of the way...just fucking
amazing and I've been smitten ever since. Just can't get enough of those
guitars although I do still miss Angelo.
Of course it's nothing short of criminal that the guys have not made any
money while the likes of Travis and Radiohead (I like both of these bands
by the way) can't give it away - there's something wrong somewhere.
Anyway, I'll be seeing the guys in Cambridge on Tuesday for what must be
the tenth time (or maybe more) and I've never been dissappointed.
If anyone has got any boots/tapes for purchase/trade I'm interested - if
you want Church stuff we could do business. Visit my fanzine site if you
are intersted: http://members.tripod.com/trevboyd/nsewhome.html
See ya - glad there's a list like this.
Trevor.
