I remember seeing them at Liverpool Poly in 1989ish, and they sold "Blue
Aeroplanes guitar strings" afterwards, from the stage, for about 3 quids.
They were the most totally ordinary guitar strings I'd ever seen.  I
bought
one, of course, because I was drunk, but there can't have been any other
merchandise or I wouldn't have been gulled like that.
