I've seen Tim several times here in the US and the UK. Most recently,
opening for Robyn Hitchcock's tour this fall (he and Robyn have worked
closely together on a number of projects).
I'd say that the Departure Lounge stuff is good, but it's not nearly as
good as the fun pop of his old band, Homer. If you can lay hands on
the "Lucky 13" and "Superkeen" singles (long out of print but WELL
worth it), you'll see what I'm talking about.
The Departure Lounge are supposed to tour the US later this spring, I
think. They are worth going to see.
