In 1983 I heard for the first time about a group 'The Chameleons'. Some
weeks later I won an LP and I could choose which one I wanted. I asked
for
'Script of the bridge'. Some weeks later, I received that disc and from
the
moment I listened to it, I was sold...
They only recorded 3 'official' cd's and I adored all of them. Besides
that
I think I must have all official and non-official stuff. They're still my
favorite 80's band. I saw them some weeks before they split. What a
shame.
As for me this is still (as BA's) one of Britains most underrated bands
ever...

Another time, we were waiting for the concert of Echo and the bunnymen,
and
Ride had to open. Never heard of them before, but this turned out to be a
wonderful band... (Great melodic noice...)

So, at the end of march I'm going to see Oasis. I don't like too much
their
attitude, but I wanted to see them in a small venue, like the Ancienne
Belgique in Brussels is one of them.. Now the bass-players turns out to
be
an old Ride-guitarplayer. What a coïncidence. I'm lucky I could get a
ticket since the concert sold out in about 1 hour. (+/- 2000 people)

One group that turned out to be a disaster live was for me 'The stone
roses'. I like their cd's very much, but Brown obvious can't sing
live....
(in my opinion ofcourse!!!!!)

Hans.
