They've been selling it at gigs in England, I gather, and someone on the
list brought back a bunch to mailorder. (I don't mean to be coy; I'll
leave it up to that person to reveal their identity, just in case they're
temporarily sick of sending them out or I missed the message that said "No
more! Stop sending me checks!") Anyway, that's where I got mine.

I'd sort of been warned not to have sky-high hopes, so I popped in the
second disc first and was immediately disappointed anyway by the sound
quality of "Jazz Baby". The previously released songs aren't *bad*, but
nor have they improved much since I last heard them. If the record were
just "Cavaliers" and "Roundheads", though, it would be stellar and a
perfectly satisfying length. I've been thinking of it that way, trying to
imagine that the other songs were hidden bonus tracks.

Don't anyone let the mixed reviews keep you from getting it.
