They never managed to capture that live edge on record unfortunately. Saw
them first supporting U2 on the War tour at Manchester Apollo (second row
seats for U2 were easier to come by in them days!). Don't think I've ever
seen a support band play with such passion. They even did encores that
night.

They never really managed to appease a hostile press, and they seemed
bitter at the end. They seemed edgy and unhappy on that last tour. Top
Alarm moment was a live acoustic song (Bells of Rhymney I think) on some
Saturday morning television programme. Ahhh nostalgia is a wonderful
thing.
