No, it was 1986 and I wasn't allowed to go by my mum and
dad as I was too young (13). I'm not sure Rodney would have
got in if he was not a performer/local resident as he would
only have been 16 or 17 (if that). My older sister went
though the lucky cow!
There is a Glastonbury Festival book out full of great
colour pictures portraying the evolution of the event over
the years. I got it for Xmas a few years ago (thanks
mum for letting me go eventually when I got to 16). There
is a very amusing one of Rodders strumming his Rickenbacker
on the Pyramid stage wearing a 1920's striped boating
blazer (as seen on the cover of Happysad) in true mod
revival style ( hold Paul Weller responsible).
