I goofed.  That's what you get for hitting 'Send' without thinking, which

don't usually do of course :)  The villain is actually called Vandemar.

It's a dark Alice in Wonderland story about an alternative London that
exists
below and around us.  For example, there is an Angel called Islington.
There
are some Black Friars.  There is an Earl who lives in Earls Court, there
is a
character called Old Bailey, etc..  You get the idea.  I guess this is all
superfluous now that I've screwed up the link that existed.

Mine is a pretty unusual name - my only claim to fame is having the same
