Kate - Not sure what you imagined Hazel would be like, but stick with it,
its a real grower. Its not easy listening by any stretch of the
imagination, but there are a lot of great moments packed into half an hour
or so.
I had the advantage of having heard most of it live before I bought it so
I
didn't have the "wow" barrier to overcome, even so it blew me away first
listen. The opening (title) track is so uncompromising! Evidently it was
all recorded on a 4 track, and if it was then all the more reason to
praise
it.
Get back to us in a while, I for one will be interested to see how it
grows.
Meanwhile we'll just twiddle our thumbs and wait for the Soft Boys...
