I am still amazed by the retisence of anybody/everybody to give the new
Marillion a chance.

"You're all wrong about Marillion. Whatever you thought you knew about
this
record, forget it. Just put it on and listen to it." - Steve Hogarth
(taken
from http://www.marillion.com).

Well, there you have it, not only are the other people wrong - I am also
wrong.

Maybe it's because Steve is such a "free spirit"? He's very magical and
spiritual, and humanitarian, and outspoken, and opinionated, and ......

I'm in Colorado. My musical taste? Hmm, hard to say. I expect it's
because I
was such a recluse as a kid, I spent most of my time in my bedroom
listening to
music. I guess you could say that music is a way of sharing the joy and
pain of
life. I once read that music was the only true form of communication
between
human beings, that so much is shared in a song that can never be
transmitted any
other way. Could it be that music gives us a glimpse into the essence of
a
person or persons?

Which is why people probably use such terms as "soulmate" when describing
similar musical tastes.
